On any given day, we see many different brands, types, and models of computer in our shop, but few computers catch our eye quite like the Apple Macs. Between the sleek form-factors, high-quality materials, and features like the excellent multi-touch trackpads, it’s easy to see why so many people have become enamored with their aluminum machines. While it’s no secret that the Macs hold up very well to the everyday rigors of work, school, and in-between, sometimes the unexpected comes along, and that’s why we’re here. We do all sorts of Apple Mac repairs. Let’s talk about some of the common services we do with Apple Macs.
- Liquid Spills
-
- One of the most common services we do with Apple computers is liquid spill cleanups. I have been a victim of this, myself, so don’t be embarrassed! Of course, spilling a beverage like water, coffee, or milk onto your computer is never a good thing, but it doesn’t have to be the end of the machine. Corrosion begins to form on the circuit boards and connections the moment liquid touches the components; the key is to have the machine serviced as soon as possible after the liquid spill, so the deadly corrosion may be cleaned out as soon as possible. We’ve rescued machines (and their data) from some of the ugliest of spills, so don’t give up on your machine before getting it cleaned!
- Screen Replacements
-
- We can repair your Macbook, Macbook Pro, or iMac screen, in store! Cracked screen got you down? Don’t worry! We can repair your screen quickly, professionally, and for a price that is a lot less than buying a new Mac!
- SSD Upgrades
-
- Why do we ever buy new computers in the first place? Speed! It’s no secret that a 2018 Macbook Pro is going to feel like a fast machine. But this same Macbook Pro can carry quite the price tag. And while it’s powerful, no doubt, does everyone need this? What if you have a venerable 2012 or 2011 Macbook Pro or iMac that still does a good job? Good news, you still have options to extend the life of these machines. For a small fraction of the cost of a new Mac, upgrading your current computer with a solid-state hard drive will speed it up so much that it will feel like a new computer! The best part is that one of these drives can be installed while you lose nothing on the computer, everything will be right where you left it. Solid state hard drives are the best way to speed up and extend the life of a computer.
